Course Outline

This course is designed to develop learners listening, observation, thinking, and writing, and comprehension
skills of English Language, and after completion of this course they will learn:

• Phonics sounds – initial, medial, ending
• Association of letters to sound -26 letters -14 grass letters, 7 sky letters, 5 root letter
• Objects associated with 26 letters and identifying them
• Make handwriting patterns
• Tracing of letters leading to independently writing all 26 letters
• Sight reading with emphasis on phonemes
• Upper and lower case letters
• Beginning sounds in CVC words by selecting and matching sounds to pictures
• Write the beginning sound
• Colours – Red blue green yellow orange brown purple black pink –through pictures
